My first book from this author and it won't be my last. It was an enjoyable experience with interesting secondary characters who galvanized the heroine into standing up for herself. Offering advice and emotional support they aid her escape from a painful relationship. Its a fun, sometimes sad but above all a redeeming tale of a women finding the one after being stomach punched by a selfish cad.Product details

I am thrilled to have found Terri Douglas and am enjoying her books so much. It is always great when you can add a new author you like to,your book list.
Having had my own LCB I could totally relate to these characters . I enjoyed reading the book. I too created a new life and career.
I really enjoyed this book. It was refreshing to read about characters that were a little older and had some baggage and depth.
The women in this book are supposed to be in their late 30s and just turning 40. They are described and written though as if they are in their 50s or 60s. I felt that kind of changed how I viewed everything. I had to keep trying to picture their characters much younger but they were written so much older. I don't know why but this really interfered with how I envisioned the characters and the story line. It was an enjoyable read otherwise. Nothing spectacular but a way to pass the time.
