Very rarely will a book capture my attention like this one did! From the very beginning I was enthralled by the masterful way E.M. Bounds made alive Old Testament prayers, and the people who prayed them, under the circumstances the were prayed in. I read a good bit, but never very much at one time, but I was 100 pages in before I ever set it down. The last half of the book is just as wonderfully done, as he brings out the prayer life of the apostle Paul, and uncovers just how vital prayer was to the life and ministry of Paul. I could not recommend this book more!!Product details

Extremely practical book. The best of Bounds that I've ever read. Especially good on the Apostle Paul. Reasonably priced too.
A great reminder from the past that men especially need to pray. Wonderful examples from the Scripture and strong challenges for us to get to it.
This is a great walk through old testament saints and their prayer habits. I recommend this to anyone interested in a better prayer life.
Purchased for my husband for Father’s Day. I am a fan of E. M.Bounds works so I’m hoping he will like this read. E.M. works on prayer just ignite the spark and flame for prayer again when it flickers low or out.
This is a great book.
I love Bounds, his simplicity in writing, his directness in purpose, his assumption of the readers intellect. I appreciate his ability to drive home the purpose of his writings from page one until it's completion. I love the examples of praying "men" and his emphasis on Paul in particular. I felt stirred to surrender my prayer life afresh to the Lord through the reading of this book. very easy read and full of biblical truths! Enjoy.
